Sit On It! creatively combines community support of local artists with much needed fundraising to support girls and young women in our community. Each year more than 30 Des Moines area artists design, create and donate functional objects of art for auction at Sit On It!.
The event begins with a cocktail hour and silent auction. A seated dinner and program follows. The live auction concludes the evening. Locally created furniture pieces, experience packages and wares from local businesses will compose the silent and live auctions. During the program, we will honor our Visionary Woman and Woman of Worth awardees. These women are leaders who represent the values we strive to instill in our girls and young women.
Co-Chaired by: Georgia Van Gundy and Chad Kleppe
Hosted by: Mary and Don Coffin
Honoring: 2017 Louise Noun Visionary Woman, Connie Boesen
All silent auction bidding will be conducted via smartphone or other mobile device through BidPal. Upon registration and ticket purchase, a link will be sent to your smartphone to enable early bidding. Bidding the night of the event will also be conducted through that link. At the end of the night, you will be able to view the items you won and checkout via your smartphone. If you'd like to learn/practice how bidding will work, please click on the "Learn how to BidPal before the event!" icon on this page. Volunteers at a BidPal help station will be available to provide assistance throughout the event.
